WCEP6423D
LG WCEP6423D Combination Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Air fry or convection fan noise and weak airflow
- Microwave door latch and switches in the upper cavity
- Lower oven that heats unevenly
- Self-clean latch that sticks
- Control response on the touch panel
The LG WCEP6423D is a combination wall oven with Air Fry, offering a 1.7 cu. ft. microwave and a 4.7 cu. ft. oven in one cabinet tower. Two finish options are sold on this platform. It is built into cabinetry, so it sits at a comfortable working height.
Because a combination unit holds two cavities, we test them apart. The lower oven gets a preheat check, the bake and broil elements, the sensor, and the convection fan, including its Air Fry setting. The upper cavity gets a door latch and switch test and a timed microwave run. The control panel is tested as well.
When owners report poor air fry results, we also look for blocked airflow and fan wear. The finish suffix matters when ordering trim, so we read the model and serial from the label before any part order. You get a written price first, and our work has a 30-day warranty.
Key features
- 1.7/4.7 cu. ft. combination wall oven
- Air Fry
- Convection fan in main cavity
- Self-clean cycle
- Available in 2 finish options
Why is Air Fry on my WCEP6423D not crisping?
Air fry depends on the convection fan and the heating element working together. We test both, check the sensor and airflow, and price only the part that tests badly.
Can the microwave and the oven be repaired in one visit?
Often yes. We test both cavities and price each repair separately, so you decide what to approve. A part that must be ordered may need a second visit.
Does the finish option matter for repair?
The oven checks are the same, but trim and some parts vary by version. We read the full model from the label so we order the correct match.
