LG WCES6428F STUDIO Combo Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Convection fan noise or airflow
- Microwave door latch and switches
- Lower oven that preheats slowly
- Display and touch control response
The LG WCES6428F is an LG STUDIO combo wall oven with a 1.7 cu. ft. microwave and a 4.7 cu. ft. oven. It is built into a cabinet tower, with the microwave above the oven. The two cavities share a single control, which helps us isolate which half is at issue.
We start by running the oven and microwave one at a time. The lower oven is tested for preheat speed, element output, the sensor, and the convection fan. The microwave is tested for door latch and switch response and a timed run. The touch control and display come last.
If the oven is slow but the microwave is fine, the problem stays in the lower cavity. If both misbehave, the shared control moves up our list. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering anything for the WCES6428F. A written price comes first, and the repair has a 30-day warranty.

My WCES6428F microwave works but the oven does not. What now?
The cavities use separate parts. We test the lower oven's elements, sensor, and fan, and leave the microwave alone if it passes. You get a written price for the failing part.
Is the LG STUDIO badge relevant to repair?
The badge names the product line. Repair checks follow the type of oven, so we use the label for the exact model and serial and order matching parts.
How long does a combo oven repair take?
Many diagnostics finish in one visit. If a part must be ordered, we return after it arrives. We tell you the plan and the price in writing before starting.
