LG wall ovens are built in at eye level in single, double and combination formats, and they depend on an oven sensor, a heating element or two, a convection fan and a door lock for self-clean. The control board ties them all together.

Because wall ovens sit in tight cabinetry, heat from the cavity can warm nearby wiring over the years. In Houston, summer heat and humidity add stress, and storm-related power surges can leave the control board with a code or no response.

We begin with how the oven behaves in each mode, then verify the sensor reading, the element, the fan, the latch and the board. If the oven needs to be pulled from its cabinet, we tell you first. We explain the finding and give you a written price before we replace anything.

05Wall Oven questions
My wall oven runs hotter than the setting. Can it be recalibrated?

Many ovens allow a small temperature offset in the settings, but a large gap usually means a failing sensor or a worn control. Try an oven thermometer for a baseline, then tell us how far off it is and in which mode, so we test the right path.

The door stays locked after self-clean. What should I do?

Let the oven cool fully, since the lock releases only after temperatures drop. If it remains locked after that, turn off power at the breaker for a minute and try again. A latch motor or a switch may need testing, and forcing the door risks damage.

Do you repair combination wall ovens with a microwave?

Yes, but the microwave and the oven sections are separate systems that share a cabinet and control. We identify which section has the problem, and we may advise extra installation help if the unit must be removed from its cabinet.
