Most common issues on this model
- EasyClean cycle that does not complete or leaves residue behind
- Oven elements that glow weakly or not at all
- Touch panel that lags or goes blank
- Door latch that sticks after cleaning
The LG LDE3031ST is an electric range with 6.7 cu. ft. of oven capacity, a 6 in upper oven height, IntuiTouch controls and an EasyClean cleaning feature. It is an older model that is still in many homes, set between cabinets as a freestanding unit.
EasyClean is a quick low-temperature clean, so when it fails the checks are the door latch, the oven sensor and the bake element. For heating issues, we measure the element resistance before reaching for the control board, since elements are the more common wear item on an electric oven.
We read the model and serial from the label before any parts order. Pricing is put in writing first and our workmanship is warranted for 30 days.

What is EasyClean and why would it stop?
EasyClean is a short cleaning cycle using a lower heat than a deep clean. It can stop if the door latch, sensor or board does not give the right signal, so we test each in order.
The oven element looks fine but will not heat. What now?
A coil can look intact and still be open inside. We test it with a meter, check the terminals for burn marks, and verify the relay before pricing a replacement.
Does the touch panel need a new board if it lags?
Not always. Moisture or a loose connection can cause lag. We inspect the panel connection first and quote a new board only when the tests call for it.
