AS401WWA1
LG AS401WWA1 Tower Purifier Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Fan staying at one speed in auto mode
- Indicator fixed on one reading
- Filter indicator that stays lit
- Noise from the fan at higher speeds
The AS401WWA1 is a PuriCare tower, an upright LG air purifier that is now an older model. Towers like this usually stand against a wall in a bedroom or living area, drawing air in and sending it out the top.
Because the automatic speed relies on a sensor, a sensor opening coated with dust can make the fan seem stuck on one setting. We clean and test that first, then check the filter seating and run the fan through every speed. If the sensor opening is clean and the reading still never moves, we measure the sensor response separately before pricing a replacement.
We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering a part, so what we quote fits this tower. You agree to a written price before work starts, and the repair has 30 days of workmanship coverage.

Is this tower the same as the round console version?
No. The AS401WWA1 is the tower style, a separate model from the round console. We check the label to be sure which filters and parts apply to your unit.
The tower will not change speed by itself. What do you test?
We clean the sensor opening, watch whether the reading responds, and then check the fan control. Dust is the most common reason an automatic setting seems to stall.
Do you replace filters or only repair the unit?
We do both. If a filter is the cause, we confirm the type from the label, quote the price in writing, and fit it. Otherwise we focus on the fan, sensor, and indicator.
