LG air purifier repair in Houston
01What goes wrong

Common air purifier problems we fix

In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

Fan weak even on the highest setting

02

Filter indicator stuck on after replacement

03

Air quality light stays red or blue

04

Loud rattle or humming from the fan

05

Unit will not power on

06

App connection dropping repeatedly

LG air purifiers use a fan to pull room air through a pre-filter and a main filter, and many include an air quality sensor, a display and app control. They run for long periods, often all day in bedrooms and living rooms.

Houston adds pollen, dust and humid air that load filters faster than owners expect, and a loaded filter strains the fan and fools the sensor. Storm outages can also leave a smart purifier disconnected from the home network until it is set up again.

We check the filters, the fan and its bearings, the sensor, the display and the power supply. If the real fix is a new filter or a reset, we say so and do not sell a repair you do not need. You get a written price before any work starts.

05Air Purifier questions
The filter light stays on after I replaced the filter. What now?

Many models need a reset after a filter change, using the button or sequence shown in the manual. Check that the filter is seated and that any protective film has been removed. If the light stays on, the sensor or the board may need testing.

Why is the air quality sensor stuck on red?

Dust or cooking vapor on the sensor can cause false readings. Gently vacuum or wipe the sensor opening as the manual describes. If it still reads high in a clean room, the sensor itself may be failing.

Is a loud fan worth repairing?

Often a noisy fan is caused by dust, a loose filter or a foreign object rather than a bad motor. Clean the unit and reseat the filter. If the noise remains, the fan or its bearings may need replacement, and we will tell you if it is practical.
