What Cd means
Cd on an LG WashCombo all-in-one, ventless washer-dryer, such as the LG SIGNATURE WM9998HBA, is not an error. It is the cool-down stage after a drying cycle, when the machine tumbles the load from time to time for up to 4 hours so the clothes do not sit hot and wrinkle. The message stays on the display until you take the clothes out or press START/PAUSE.
Common causes of Cd
- The drying cycle finished and cool-down began
- The load has not been removed yet
- START/PAUSE has not been pressed
1. Open the door and take the clothes out when you are ready. 2. Or press START/PAUSE to end the cool-down. 3. Let the drum air out with the door open if the clothes feel warm or damp. 4. If Cd shows with no drying cycle having run, let us know.
- If Cd appears when no dry cycle was started, we would read the machine's actual state on site.
- A load that is still damp after cool-down points to a drying problem, which is a different check from this message.
- We quote any repair in writing first, and it carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Other WashTower & Combo codes
Is Cd an error on my LG WashCombo?
No. Cd means cool down. The machine finished drying and is tumbling the load now and then so the clothes cool off, which is normal behavior for a combo.
How long does the Cd cool-down last?
It can tumble the load periodically for up to 4 hours. The message stays until you remove the clothes or press START/PAUSE, whichever you do first.
Do I have to wait for Cd to finish?
No. Remove the clothes or press START/PAUSE whenever you like. Leaving the load in for the full time just keeps it from sitting hot and wrinkling.
Still unsure about Cd?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
