The CBGJ3023S is a 30 in LG gas cooktop with an UltraHeat 20K BTU burner, continuous cast iron grates, and an EasyClean coated surface. It also has Auto Reignition, which relights a burner if the flame goes out by accident. It is a current model, sold in two finishes.
On a gas cooktop, ignition and flame quality come first. We check the igniter and its spark, make sure the burner cap and ports are clean and seated, and test whether Auto Reignition relights a flame that blows out.
We look at the gas connection only as part of a safe inspection and always read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts. You agree to a written price first, and the work has a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What does Auto Reignition do on the CBGJ3023S?
It tries to relight a burner if the flame goes out unintentionally. If it does not, we check the igniter spark and burner cap seating first.
My burner clicks but will not light. What is wrong?
Often a wet or dirty igniter, a misplaced burner cap, or blocked ports. We clean and reseat the burner, then test the igniter and module if needed.
Do the cast iron grates matter for service?
They are continuous, so they lift off as a set for cleaning. We remove them to reach the burners, and we check they sit level after the repair.
