Most common issues on this model
- Brass burner ignition and flame
- UltraHeat 18,500 BTU burner
- Warming drawer heat and slide
- Oven igniter and convection fan
The LSSG3017ST is an older LG gas range with a 6.3 cu. ft. oven, ProBake Convection, a brass burner, a warming drawer and an UltraHeat 18,500 BTU burner. LG lists it as discontinued, so we call it a Legacy model that many homes still use.
We start with ignition on every burner, particularly the brass and high-output units. Then the oven igniter and gas valve, the convection fan, and the warming drawer’s element and slide.
We confirm model and serial from the label before ordering. Gas fittings are leak-tested after service. Pricing is written first, and our work has a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
What is checked on a brass burner?
We clean the head and ports, check the cap sits right and test the spark and flame. Brass burners handle heat well, but blocked ports still weaken the flame.
The warming drawer does not warm. Why?
We test its element, its control and the thermostat, and check that the drawer closes fully. A drawer that sits slightly open can lose heat.
Can the LSSG3017ST use the LSSG3020BD's parts?
LG lists matching capacity and burners on both. We still read the exact label before ordering, because trim and finish codes can change the part number.
