Most common issues on this model
- Sealed burner that clicks but does not light
- SuperBoil burner with a weak or yellow flame
- Oven that is slow to ignite
- Oven temperature that drifts from the setting
The LG LRG3021ST is a gas range with a large oven, a SuperBoil 17,000 BTU burner, four high-performance sealed burners and a Brilliant Blue interior. It is an older model that many homes still use, set on a gas line with a nearby outlet.
Sealed burners keep spills out of the cooktop, but food on the cap and ports is the usual reason a burner will not light, so we clean and reseat before replacing anything. In the oven, a slow light-up leads to the igniter, and drifting temperature leads to the sensor.

My sealed burner clicks but never lights. Why?
Spill residue in the port or a misseated cap blocks the flame. We clean and reseat the cap, then test the spark electrode and module.
What is checked when the oven is slow to light?
The hot-surface igniter's current and the safety valve. A weak igniter delays the gas and gets worse with age, so we replace it when it tests low.
Can the blue oven interior be damaged by repair?
We take care around the enamel and avoid abrasives. Most repairs happen at the igniter, sensor or burner, away from the surface. If a surface needs touching up, we tell you before we start so there are no surprises.
