LT1216CER
LG LT1216CER Wall AC Service
Most common issues on this model
- Seal at the trim kit
- Fan speeds with a larger coil
- Remote and panel input
- Energy Saver behavior
LT1216CER is a current LG wall air conditioner at 12,000 BTU, described as cooling up to 530 square feet. It includes a trim kit, panel or remote control of temperature and fan speed, and an Energy Saver function.
In a through-wall opening, the seal, drain and filter decide a lot, so we look at those first. We then test remote and panel separately, run the fan at each speed and see how the unit cycles with Energy Saver.
Before any part is ordered we read the model and serial from the label. Prices are written first, and the work has a 30-day warranty.

What size room does the LT1216CER suit?
Its stated coverage tops out at 530 square feet. We compare results to that size.
Is the remote required?
No, since it can also be set from the panel. If one fails, we test the other to narrow the cause.
What does Energy Saver change?
It reduces power consumption, which can affect fan and cooling cycles. We test with it on and off.
