LT1235CER
LG LT1235CER Through-Wall Air Conditioner Repair

Most common issues on this model

- Blower wheel wobble or fan motor noise
- Start capacitor and compressor behavior
- Condensate drain path and pan
- Remote and control panel response
The LT1235CER is a legacy LG wall air conditioner listed at 11,200/11,500 BTU, with EER 9.8 and CEER 9.7. It is an older model still found in many homes, built to drop into a universal sleeve and carrying a Gold Fin coated coil. The LT1235HNR is grouped with it as well.
Through-the-wall units live in a sleeve, so heat and moisture have nowhere to hide when something is wrong. We pull the front, check the filter and coil, spin the blower by hand, and measure how the compressor starts. A frozen coil often traces back to airflow or a refrigerant-side problem, and we sort out which before quoting. We copy the model and serial off the label to order the right part, and you approve a written price before we begin.

What is the difference between EER and CEER?
Both describe efficiency. CEER also counts power used when the unit is idle, so it is usually slightly lower. Yours is listed at EER 9.8 and CEER 9.7, which helps if you compare it to a replacement.
Why does my unit freeze up?
Ice on the coil usually comes from restricted airflow, a dirty filter, or low refrigerant charge. We start with airflow, because it is the cheapest to fix, and move to the sealed system only if needed.
Do you service the sleeve too?
We check the sleeve, rear grille and seal as part of the visit, since air and water leaks around the sleeve cause many repeat calls. Repairs to the wall itself are outside what we do.
