What is a Gold Fin coil?
It is a coating on the fins meant to resist corrosion. It does not make the coil maintenance free, so a dirty or frosted coil still hurts cooling and needs to be cleaned or diagnosed.
Why does it only cool on the lowest speed?
That can point to a worn fan motor, a weak capacitor or a fan selector problem. We test each speed and measure the motor before suggesting a replacement.
Is it safe to keep running an old wall unit?
