LW1521ERSM1
LG LW1521ERSM1 Window AC Rated 14,000 BTU Repair
Most common issues on this model
- App connection and remote response
- Cooling in a 700 sq ft space
- Fan and cabinet noise
- Coil icing from low airflow
- Window seal and drain slope
Rooms up to 700 square feet are the target for the LW1521ERSM1, a 14,000 BTU LG window air conditioner. It works with the ThinQ app, has an Energy Saver mode and 4-way air direction, and is built for quiet running in bedrooms and home offices.
Calls about this size of unit are often about uneven cooling or a room that is slow to cool on hot afternoons. We start by checking the filter and coil, then the fan speeds and compressor start, and finally the way the unit sits in the window. App or remote trouble gets traced to the panel first. Model and serial on the label tell us which parts fit, and a written price comes before we repair anything.

Error codes this model can show
Why is one side of the room warmer?
The 4-way air direction relies on vanes and airflow. We check that the vanes move and the fan delivers full air, since a blocked coil also leaves uneven results.
Is 14,000 BTU too much for a bedroom?
The listing says up to 700 square feet. In a small room an oversized unit may cycle quickly, so we check the cycling before suggesting any part.
Can you help if the app and panel disagree?
Yes. We compare the settings on both, test the board input and look at the Wi-Fi connection to learn which one is out of step.
