LW5025R
LG LW5025R Window AC Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Remote that does not control the unit
- Energy Saver mode that stops cooling too soon
- Timer that does not switch the unit on or off
- One of three fan speeds not working
- Cooling that is weak for the room
The LW5025R is a 5,000 BTU LG window air conditioner for rooms up to 150 square feet. It adds Energy Saver mode, three cooling and fan speeds, 2-way air deflection, a 24-hour timer and an adjustable thermostat. It is usually found in a bedroom or small office.
With three speeds and a timer, there are more control paths to test than on a basic unit. We check the panel and the control board for timer and mode changes, then step through each speed for a real airflow change, and then the compressor and coil.
We read the label for the model and serial before any parts are ordered, and the price is shown in writing first. Repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

The timer on my LW5025R does nothing. Why?
The 24-hour timer relies on the control board. We test whether the board responds to the panel, and if the unit runs manually but ignores the timer, the board is the likely cause.
What does Energy Saver do?
It lets the fan stop between cooling cycles to cut power use. We confirm that is working as designed before treating it as a problem.
Why would one of three fan speeds fail?
Each speed uses a separate path in the motor or switch. We test all three so only the failed part is replaced. A single worn speed often leaves the other two working normally.
