What PS means

PS on an LG Styler steam closet means the supply voltage is not correct. The closet reads the power coming into it, and PS shows when that is outside what it expects. You might see the display flash PS, the cycle refuse to start, or the closet shut off partway. The S5WBC and other Styler models use the same message. Because it concerns incoming power, treat it with care.

  • The power cord and plug
  • A loose connection at the closet's power input
  • The control board that reads the incoming voltage

Why does the Styler display PS?

PS means the supply voltage is not correct. The closet is reading incoming power outside the range it expects, so the cycle may refuse to start or shut off partway through.

Can I use an extension cord for the Styler?

Plug the closet straight into a wall outlet. An extension cord or power strip can add to voltage problems, so avoid them while PS is showing.

Is PS dangerous?
