While the lock is on, only the Power button responds, and every other button is ignored, which is why a unit can look unresponsive after someone pressed the wrong combination. The dehumidifier itself is fine. The button you hold to unlock it depends on the year the model was made, so match your unit to the list below rather than trying every button.

1. Find the button for your model year. 2. Hold it for 3 seconds. For 2024 and newer, use Humidity Up. For 2020 to 2023, use Lock. For 2017 to 2019, use Ionizer. 3. For 2013 to 2017 models, hold Humidity Up and High Fan Speed together. 4. Models made before 2012 have no child lock. 5. If CL stays after the hold, tell us your model year.
