LRFWS2906S
LG LRFWS2906S Slim Dispenser Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Slim in-door dispenser flow and chilled water line
- Ice maker fill and ejection
- SmartPull Handle on the freezer drawer
- Freezer drawer track and door seal
- Evaporator fan and defrost operation
Many homes still have the LRFWS2906S, an older model: a 29 cu. ft. French 3-door refrigerator with a slim external water dispenser and a factory-installed ice maker. LG now lists it as discontinued, so owners often come to us for repairs instead of replacing a unit that still works.
A slim in-door dispenser sends chilled water through tubing inside the door, so a weak stream or a leak near the dispenser sends us to the line and door connections first. The ice maker has its own fill valve, and the SmartPull Handle depends on a smooth freezer drawer.
Because it is an older model, we confirm the model and serial from the label and check parts availability before ordering. You get a written price before work begins, and repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Can you still repair a discontinued LG refrigerator?
Usually yes. We confirm the model and serial from the label, check whether the part is available, and tell you the price in writing before work begins. An older unit often has years of service left.
Why does the chilled water taste or flow poorly?
Old filters, kinks in the door line, or a partly closed supply valve are the usual causes. We replace or test the filter, check the line, and measure flow at the dispenser.
The freezer drawer will not slide smoothly. What happens?
We inspect the tracks, rollers, and handle for wear or debris, and we check that the cabinet is level. Cleaning and adjustment often fix it; worn tracks are replaced.
