What rT means

LG refrigerators with an LED or LCD temperature display show rT when the room, or ambient, temperature sensor is shortened or open. This sensor tells the control how warm the kitchen is, so it can adjust cooling, defrost timing and condensation control. With a bad reading the refrigerator may run longer than normal, sweat on the outside, or hold temperatures slightly off. The display shows rT, and some models print Er rT.

1. Check that the refrigerator has clearance around it and is not pushed against a hot oven or in direct sun. 2. Close both doors firmly and make sure the seals are not folded. 3.
