LFXC22526S
LG LFXC22526S Dual Ice Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Dual ice makers fill and water valve
- Evaporator fan and defrost parts
- ThinQ Care alerts and Wi-Fi connection
- Door gasket sealing
- Condenser area and airflow
Counter-depth with 22 cu. ft. and dual ice makers, the LFXC22526S is a French 3-door model from LG. A second version, the LFXC22526D, is in the same family. The fingerprint and smudge resistant finish is easy to wipe, and ThinQ Care helps monitor the refrigerator.
Two ice makers raise the demand on the water supply, so if ice slows, we test pressure, the valve and each fill tube. If the fresh food section warms, we check the evaporator fan and the defrost system. Counter-depth cabinets have limited room behind them, so we also check the condenser area for dust and airflow.
We read the model and serial from the label before ordering a part, since the D and S versions can differ. You get a written price before work and a 30-day workmanship warranty afterward.

The second ice maker on my LFXC22526S makes less ice. Why?
Each ice maker has its own fill path. We test water flow, the valve and the fill tubes for ice, and check the freezer temperature. If only one maker is slow, the problem is in its own tube or valve outlet, not the main supply line.
Can ThinQ Care alerts fail without a cooling problem?
Yes, they depend on the home network. We test the connection separately, so we do not replace cooling parts for a Wi-Fi issue. Leave a few inches behind and above the refrigerator, and we look at the clearance whenever we pull the unit out.
Why does counter-depth need airflow checks?
The cabinet sits close to the wall and cabinets, so dust and heat collect around the condenser. We clean and check the fan. Lint on the coil is a common finding.
