Most common issues on this model
- Infrared grill that does not light or lights unevenly
- EvenJet convection fan that is loud or silent
- SuperBoil burner with a weak flame
- Oven that takes long to reach temperature
Gas cooking on the LG LDG3017ST comes with a 6.1 cu. ft. oven, an Infrared Grill system, EvenJet Convection and a SuperBoil 17,000 BTU burner. It is an older model that many homes still cook on, freestanding on a gas connection.
The infrared grill sits at the top of the oven and depends on its own igniter and gas valve. We check it separately from the bake burner. The EvenJet convection fan is tested for spin and noise. If the oven is slow to heat, we measure the flame and the igniter.
A look at the model and serial label comes before every parts order. The price goes to you in writing, and a 30-day warranty stands behind the work.

The broil side of my oven will not light. Why?
The infrared grill has its own igniter and valve. We check the igniter current, the gas supply to it, and the flame sensor before ordering anything.
What does EvenJet Convection need for service?
A fan moves air in the oven cavity. We check its motor, blade and wiring, and listen for bearing noise, which usually means the motor needs replacing.
Is it safe to use the range if the oven will not light?
Gas should not flow without a flame in a working system. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility first. Otherwise, avoid the oven until we inspect it.
