Most common issues on this model
- EvenJet convection fan that stops or hums
- Oven that heats unevenly
- Gas igniter that is slow to light the burner
- EasyClean cycle that does not finish
The LG LDG3036ST is a gas range with a double oven design, a 6.1 cu. ft. oven, EasyClean, and the EvenJet Convection System. LDG3036BD is another version in the same listing. It is an older model still found in many homes.
Convection on a gas range depends on the rear fan and the burner working together. Uneven results lead us to the fan motor, the temperature sensor, and the oven igniter. We test the fan spin and listen for bearing noise before touching gas parts.
Before ordering we read the model and serial label. A written price is agreed up front and the workmanship is under warranty for 30 days.

Why does my convection oven cook unevenly?
The fan may be slow or stopped, or the igniter may be weak. We test the fan motor and the igniter current, then check the sensor.
Does a gas oven need electricity for the fan?
Yes. The convection fan, ignition and controls run on household power, so a power problem can stop a gas oven from working. A power outage or a tripped breaker is a quick thing to rule out before a visit.
The oven is slow to light. Is that dangerous?
A slow igniter delays the flame, and gas can build briefly before lighting. We test the igniter current and replace it early because a weak one gets worse.
