Most common issues on this model
- Convection fan that is silent
- Flat broil heater that does not light
- UltraHeat burner that lights unevenly
- Oven that heats slowly
The LG LRG3097ST is a gas range with a large oven, an UltraHeat 19,000 BTU burner, a convection oven and a flat broil heater. It is an older model, freestanding on a gas line.
On this range we treat the broiler, bake burner and convection fan as separate parts. A cold broil points to its own igniter and port; a quiet fan points to the motor. The 19,000 BTU burner draws a lot of gas, so we clean its ports when the flame looks weak.
We start every parts order from the label’s model and serial. A written price comes first, and the work comes with a 30-day warranty.

What is a flat broil heater?
It is the broiler burner mounted flat at the top of the oven. It has its own igniter, so a broiler problem does not mean the bake side is bad.
My convection fan is silent. What next?
We test the motor and its wiring, and look for a seized blade. A failed motor is the usual cause. If the blade spins freely, the motor winding or the wiring connector is the next thing we test.
Does a weak flame mean a gas supply problem?
Usually the burner is dirty. We check ports and pressure to rule out the supply. Gas supply problems affect every burner at once, so a single weak burner points to that burner.
