LT0816CER
LG LT0816CER Wall AC Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Trim kit and the seal around the unit
- Control panel and remote response
- Fan speed changes
- Energy Saver behavior and compressor cycling
The LT0816CER is a current LG wall air conditioner rated at 8,000 BTU and described as cooling up to 330 square feet. A trim kit is included, temperature and fan speed are set from the panel or remote, and an Energy Saver function reduces power use.
Installed through a wall, it relies on a good seal and a clear rear drain, so those are our first checks. We then test the panel and remote separately and watch how the unit cycles in Energy Saver.
Cleaning the filter and coil rounds out a visit. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, give the price in writing, and cover the repair with our 30-day workmanship warranty.

What room size is the LT0816CER meant for?
Coverage of 330 square feet is stated for this unit. A sunny room or an open layout may need more, so we compare results to that figure.
What is the Energy Saver function?
It reduces power consumption, which can change how the fan and compressor run. If cooling seems different, we test with the function on and off.
What is the trim kit for?
It is included to help with installation around the unit. We check that it is seated well, since gaps let warm air in.
