LW1022FVSM
LG LW1022FVSM 10,000 BTU Inverter Window AC Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Inverter compressor ramping and control board response
- Fan noise changes at low speed
- ThinQ connection and settings
- Auto Restart after power loss
- Coil and drain condition
The LW1022FVSM is a 10,000 BTU LG window air conditioner with an inverter compressor, rated for operation as quiet as 44 dB. It connects to the ThinQ app, directs air four ways and includes Auto Restart, Sleep mode and a 24-hour timer. An LW1022IVSM version is grouped under it.
Inverter units change compressor speed instead of cycling fully on and off, so the control board matters more here. We check that the compressor ramps up and settles, that the fan follows, and that the sensors read the room correctly. A dirty coil or poor window seal can mimic a board problem, so we rule those out first. Model and serial from the label let us match the part, and our price comes in writing before work.

What does an inverter compressor change for service?
The compressor speed is managed by the control board, so a failing board or sensor can affect cooling even when the compressor is sound. We test both before replacing anything.
Is 44 dB normal for the quietest setting?
It is the listed low-noise figure for this model. If yours is louder than usual, we check the fan blade, mounting and any rattling panels, since vibration often explains the extra sound.
Is the LW1022IVSM the same as mine?
Both numbers appear together. The label on your unit tells us which you own, and we order parts by that number, not by the product family.
