LW1521ERSM
LG LW1521ERSM 800 Sq Ft Window Unit Repair
Most common issues on this model
- App pairing and connection
- Panel and remote commands
- Cooling output in a large room
- Fan mode changes
- Coil icing and drain flow
LG lists the LW1521ERSM as a Wi-Fi enabled 15,000 BTU window air conditioner for spaces up to 800 square feet. The ThinQ app handles the key features, high, mid and low modes set cooling and fan speed, and the panel or remote can make the same changes.
Our first job on a connected unit is deciding where the problem lives: the Wi-Fi link, the control board or the cooling system. We try the panel, then the remote, then the app. Once we know it is the cooling side, we check the filter, coil, fan and compressor start. A larger unit also calls for a look at the outlet and cord. We use the rating label to match parts and provide a written price before work.

Error codes this model can show
The unit works from the panel but not the app. Why?
That points to the Wi-Fi connection or the setup, not the cooling system. We check pairing and the unit's connection, and report what we find.
Does the unit need a special outlet?
Larger window units draw more power. We check the outlet, cord and breaker for heat or damage, and the label states the electrical rating for your version.
What are high, mid and low modes?
They set how strongly the unit cools and how fast the fan runs. We test every mode to see whether a speed is missing or weak.
