LW5013
LG LW5013 Compact Window Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Weak cooling in a small bedroom
- Fan that runs on only one of its two speeds
- Compressor that cycles on and off quickly
- Water dripping from the cabinet
- Loose fit in the window after years of use
The LW5013 is a small LG window air conditioner with two cooling speeds, two fan speeds and 2-way air direction, sold with an installation kit. We have no capacity figure for it, so we do not quote one. It is an older model still in many homes, usually in a bedroom, nursery or small office.
Compact units like this are simple, so the first checks are straightforward: a clean filter and coil, a free-turning fan, and a compressor that starts and keeps running. We also check the drain and the way the cabinet sits in the window, since an old seal or a bad tilt can cause leaks or lost cooling.
We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering a part. The price is given in writing before work, and the repair comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Is a small window unit worth repairing?
Often yes. When the cause is a fan, a start part or a clogged coil, the repair costs far less than a new unit. We give you the price in writing before work so you can decide.
Why does my LW5013 drip water?
Window units collect moisture while cooling and send it out the back. A blocked drain, a tilt toward the room, or a cracked pan can send it indoors, and we check all three.
What does 2-way air direction mean?
The louvers move in two directions to spread air across the room. If air only goes one way, a stuck or broken louver is the likely cause, and it is a quick check.
