How can I tell if Auto Cool is failing?
If the unit keeps cycling without settling, or the room never matches the setting, the sensor or board may be the cause. We read the sensor and compare it to the actual air temperature.
The remote works only sometimes. Why?
A weak battery, a dirty receiver window or a worn board can do that. We check the remote and the receiver together. Fresh batteries are the first, cheapest test.
Does a 24-hour timer need its own repair?
The timer runs on the control board. If it ignores settings while the panel works, we test the board. We run the unit through a timed on and off cycle to confirm the board is switching the power correctly.
