WM3997HWA
LG WM3997HWA Washer/Dryer Combo Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Drying path and moisture removal
- Drain pump and filter
- Water inlet and fill on the TurboWash phase
- Door seal and boot
The WM3997HWA is an older LG front-load washer/dryer combo. One drum handles washing and drying, the drying design is from an earlier LG generation, and TurboWash cuts the wash phase short.
Owners usually install a combo like this where a separate dryer will not fit, such as a closet or small laundry room. We check first whether the problem is in the wash phase or in drying. For wash problems we look at the water inlet, the drain pump and its filter, and the door seal. For damp loads we look at the drying path.
Older models can mean slower parts sourcing, so we confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering and tell you in advance if a part is difficult to find. You receive a written price before work starts, and we back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What does TurboWash do on the WM3997HWA?
It shortens the wash phase of the cycle. If a wash ends too soon or leaves detergent behind, we check fill and drain on this single drum before looking at the controls.
Is the single drum a problem for drying?
It is how the machine works, but it means the drying path and filters need to stay clear. We check them when loads come out damp, then the door seal.
Will you tell me if parts are hard to find?
Yes. This is an older model, so we confirm the model and serial first and say so before we begin if a part is hard to source. The price is written in advance.
