The code dr on an LG refrigerator with an LED or LCD temperature display carries the same description as Ad. The door motor does not reach its maximum, or home, position within 5 seconds. It applies to auto-open door models. The owner sees dr, and the powered door action may stop, stall, or fail to return fully to its closed position, which can leave a small gap along the gasket.

What is the difference between dr and Ad?

LG gives dr the same text as Ad: the door motor did not reach the home position within 5 seconds. We treat them with the same motor and position-sensing inspection.

Can the door be closed by hand?
