What nF means
nF appears on LG front-load washers with an alphanumeric display that carry a Wi-Fi module. It reports a problem with the Wi-Fi module itself, as opposed to the link to it. The washer half of a WashTower and the WashCombo can show it. The owner sees nF and app connectivity may drop while basic washing may continue. The washer's wash functions may carry on normally.
Common causes of nF
- Wi-Fi module not responding
- Control that needs a fresh start
- Module seating or connection
1. Cut power at the outlet for 60 seconds by unplugging the washer. 2. Plug it back in. 3. Restart the washer. 4. Note whether the app features still respond. 5. Check that nothing is leaning against the display. 6. Make sure the display is dry and nothing leans on it. 7. Jot down the cycle you were running when it appeared.
- If nF stays after a power-down, the module is the open question and a display reading cannot settle it.
- We test the module and tell you the finding and price in writing before replacing it.

How is nF different from nE?
nE describes the connection between the display board and the Wi-Fi module. nF describes a problem with the module itself. The module itself is the subject, so a router reset will not help and may waste your time.
Will resetting my router help with nF?
No. nF is internal to the washer. A 60-second power-down is the step to try. Wash cycles generally do not depend on Wi-Fi, so you can often keep doing laundry.
Do I need the Wi-Fi feature to use the washer?
Normal wash cycles usually do not depend on it. If the washer is not running, tell us and we plan around that. We test the module and its link, then give a written price before we replace anything.
Still unsure about nF?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
