What F16 means
On LG electric and gas ranges with a numeric F-code display, F16 is listed as an oven sensor issue. The oven control relies on a sensor to know the cavity temperature, and F16 means that reading is not usable. The oven may refuse to heat or stop mid-cycle and show the code. The list gives the label only and does not say which sensor it means or which models are affected.
Common causes of F16
- The oven sensor reading out of range
- A sensor wire or plug that is loose
- The control not picking up the sensor signal
- A sensor that has stopped responding
