LRFXC2406D
LG LRFXC2406D Wi-Fi Counter-Depth Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Wi-Fi connection and control board response
- Measured Fill dispenser accuracy
- Dual ice makers
- Cool Guard interior and door shelves
- Door gasket and hinge alignment
The LRFXC2406D is still found in many homes as an older model: a 24 cu. ft. Wi-Fi enabled French door refrigerator in counter-depth form, with a tall ice and water dispenser featuring Measured Fill and a dual ice maker. LG now lists it as discontinued.
Measured Fill relies on a controlled flow of water, so a dispenser that fills the wrong amount makes us check the valve, the filter, and the controls. With two ice makers there are two fill lines to test. For Wi-Fi, we confirm the display responds and the unit holds its settings when connection drops.
Counter-depth cabinets fit close to the cabinets, so we take care when pulling the unit out. We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, provide a written price first, and offer a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What is Measured Fill and how is it serviced?
It dispenses a set amount of water when you choose. If the amount is off, we check the inlet valve, the filter, and the dispenser controls, and test flow at the dispenser.
My Wi-Fi refrigerator lost its connection. Is that a repair?
Sometimes it is a network setting, but if the display or board stops responding, we inspect the control. The refrigerator still cools without Wi-Fi, so cooling comes first in our check.
Is this model hard to service because it is discontinued?
Not necessarily. We confirm the model and serial from the label, check parts, and give you a written price before starting. Many parts are still available for older LG refrigerators.
