On LG front-load washers with an alphanumeric display, including the washer half of a WashTower and WashCombo, dE, dE1 and E01 all mean the door is not closed properly. The most common reason is laundry caught between the door and the gasket. The washer will not start or will pause until the door registers closed. Top-load washers list only a single dE for an open door.
