SRFVC2406S
LG STUDIO SRFVC2406S InstaView Craft Ice Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Dual ice makers: Craft Ice maker, standard ice maker and fill
- Tall dispenser: flow, filter and chute
- InstaView window and Door-in-Door latch
- Cool Guard charcoal interior and cooling stability
SRFVC2406S is an LG STUDIO French 3-door refrigerator with 24 cubic feet, an InstaView Door-in-Door with an adjustable bin and a tall ice and water dispenser. It has dual ice makers, including slow-melting Craft Ice. It is an older model that many homes still use.
Two ice makers mean two things to check when ice is the concern. We find out which one is affected, then follow its water fill, its tray and the freezer temperature. The tall dispenser shares the water supply, so a weak filter or valve can slow everything. We also look at the InstaView window and the Door-in-Door latch, plus overall temperatures.
We keep the order simple: read the label, confirm the model, then source the part. The price is written before work starts, and our workmanship has a 30-day warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Only one ice maker works on my SRFVC2406S. What do you check?
We confirm which one is affected, then check its water fill and ice tray. Craft Ice and standard ice are produced separately, so the cause may differ.
What is Craft Ice?
LG describes it as slow-melting ice. It is made by a dedicated ice maker, so we check that maker and its water supply when it stops.
Does the InstaView window affect cooling?
Not directly, but the Door-in-Door latch and seals do. We check them so cold air stays in when the compartment is used.
