The WM4200HBA is a current LG front load washer with a 5.0 cubic feet drum, one step up in size from the 4.5 cubic feet models. It is sold in two finishes and is normally installed in a laundry closet or utility room, often with a dryer beside it.
A bigger drum puts more weight on the suspension and bearings, so leveling and balance matter. Because the Direct Drive motor has no belt, a shaking or loud spin sends us to the leveling feet, shock mounts and bearings before the motor. The electronic control with its digital display reads inputs from the sensors, so if the display is dim, slow or skips steps we check connections and sensor readings.
We run a short cycle, watch the fill and drain, and pull the pump filter and the door boot, where lint and small items collect. Model and serial are read from the label before parts are ordered.
