LG Appliance Repair in West University Place, TX
Ben Hooper platted West University Place in 1917, and in the fifteen years to 2002 about half of its houses were replaced. Because of that, LG appliances here are often new, built into cabinetry and covered by trim panels.
West University Place (77005) is within our LG service area: refrigerators, WashTower and laundry pairs, dishwashers, wall ovens and ranges. Our booking page and phone line both offer three daily windows: 9 to 12, 1 to 4 and 4 to 7.

What West University Place homes change about a LG repair
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach LG diagnostics here.
Older lots, oversized replacements
Hooper's first lots appeared in 1917; West U became a city in 1924. A looser set of development rules from the early 1990s was followed by teardown after teardown, and about half the houses were rebuilt over fifteen years, which is why modest old homes now stand beside far bigger new ones.
A rebuilt house and a 1920s house a block apart can differ in kitchens and electrical service. Say which one you have so we plan for the layout before arriving.
City wells mixed with Houston water
West U operates its own water system. The wells go roughly 560 feet down to the Evangeline Aquifer; their groundwater is mixed with treated surface water that Houston sells the city, and Houston's share comes to about half.
That blend alone does not explain a slow fill or a filter that clogs early. The inlet screens and shut-off get our attention first, and your water bill helps us see what reaches the house.
A drainage ditch with a long record
Much of the city's drainage runs through Poor Farm Ditch to Brays Bayou, and that ditch has been flooding streets since at least the 1920s. In Harvey many West U homes took in water; since then Harris County has started work to widen and deepen the channel.
Keep a laundry pair or dishwasher off if it stood in floodwater, until its wiring and base have been inspected. Estimate the water depth and the days it sat, and we shape the inspection around those numbers.
Built-ins behind trim and panels
A typical new West U house pairs panel-ready refrigeration with wall and steam ovens, and puts a second washer and dryer upstairs. Because refrigeration and dishwashers are built in behind panels, trim comes off before we can reach anything.
Expect extra time for access on a built-in LG unit. Describe the panel mounting and the floor of the second washer, and the right parts ride along.
West U was laid out in 1917, and rebuilding since the 1990s has changed much of the housing stock. Modern builds often hide appliances behind finished trim. Photograph the data label and tell us if a panel has to be removed.
Upstairs laundry and built-in cooling both place leaks and heat where they are hard to see. We cycle the machine, read the display and examine drains, hoses and the cooling path. A panel or outlet problem goes to an electrician first, and a supply leak inside a wall to a plumber.

Can a panel-ready LG refrigerator or dishwasher be repaired?
Yes. Describe how the panel is fixed, and extra time is set aside for removing trim and reaching the unit.
My upstairs LG washer sometimes leaks. What should I check?
Look at the hoses and the drain pan, then tell us when the leak appears. We test the drain, door seal and inlet under a real load.
Which floor should I tell you about?
Both. Name the floor of each washer and dryer, since West U houses often have a second laundry pair upstairs.
