What Port Bolivar homes change about a LG repair
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach LG diagnostics here.
End of a peninsula-long supply line
Treated surface water from the Lower Neches Valley Authority's Winnie-area plant reaches town through the Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District's pipeline down the peninsula. Port Bolivar is the last stop at the west end.
A long run can mean sediment after repairs or outages. On an LG appliance that fills slowly we clean inlet screens, test valves and tell you when the district should hear about it.
Channel wind carries salt over every yard
Across Bolivar Roads lies Galveston, and wind from the channel and the Gulf sweeps salt over every yard. Exposed appliance parts rust quickly.
Condenser coils and washer cabinet screws in open laundry areas beneath raised houses go first. We inspect those on LG units and say what to rinse and what to replace.
Standard kitchens and compact beach laundry
Full-time residents commonly have a dishwasher 24 inches wide and either a freestanding or a slide-in range. Space is tighter in raised beach houses, where compact laundry and smaller refrigerators are the norm.
Compact LG laundry needs a clear drain and exhaust route. A photo of the closet and the rating sticker before our visit helps.
James Long made this his headquarters in 1819, and the town took the name Port Bolivar in 1893. Visits reach 77650. Tell us whether you will meet us from the ferry and send a sticker picture.
Distance from the mainland means we confirm access before we leave. We test, clean and finish with a cycle. A salt-corroded outlet needs an electrician.
