What tCL means

tCL is a reminder to run the Tub Clean cycle. It is not an error. It appears on LG front-load washers with an alphanumeric display, including the WashTower washer half and WashCombo, on LG top-load washers with an alphanumeric display, and on the LG SideKick pedestal washer. The owner sees tCL and the washer still works normally. The washer is still usable while the reminder shows.

How do I clear tCL?

Run Tub Clean. The message may reappear for a few cycles, and pressing another cycle or any button dismisses it. Several cycles may still show it. Starting any other cycle or pressing a button usually dismisses it.

What do I use for the SideKick?

The SideKick guidance is 1/4 bleach diluted in 1 quart of water, or a tub cleaner. Never mix bleach with other cleaners. Bleach must never be mixed with ammonia or other cleaners, so use one product at a time.
