Most common issues on this model
- Lid switch and latch
- Motor and coupling during agitation
- Suspension and leveling at spin
- Water inlet valves and drain pump
The WT7150CM is a current LG top-load washer with a 5.0 cubic feet tub, sold in three finish options. The Direct Drive motor means there is no belt, and load-sensing spin control chooses the spin speed from the weight of the wash. It fits a standard laundry nook in a house or townhome.
For a washer this size, balance is our focus. Five cubic feet holds a lot of towels, and a lopsided load can shake the cabinet or stall the spin. We check the leveling feet, the suspension rods and the sensor. If the agitation is weak, the motor and coupling come next, since there is no belt to blame. Water problems start with the inlet screens and valves.
We run a loaded test cycle, test the lid switch, and clear the drain. The model and serial from the label are recorded before parts are ordered. You see a written price before work starts, and repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Is there a belt on the WT7150CM?
It has a Direct Drive motor in place of a belt-driven transmission. Weak agitation or a grinding noise leads us to the motor, coupling and tub bearings.
Why does it shake at spin?
A 5.0 cubic feet tub can swing when a load is uneven. We check leveling, the suspension rods and the load-sensing reading, and ask how the load is usually packed.
Do the three finishes affect repair?
Not the approach. The three finishes share one platform, so the checks are the same, but we still match every part to the exact model and serial printed on your label.
