WT1201CV
LG WT1201CV Top Loader with Front Controls Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Lid switch and lock
- Fill valves and water level
- Drain pump and hose
- Spin and agitation drive
- Front control panel response
The WT1201CV is an older LG top load washer with a 4.3 cubic foot tub, front controls, ColdWash and a direct drive motor. The same washer also appears as the WT1201CW.
A front control layout keeps the panel in easy reach, which also puts it in the path of spills, so we check that it responds before we go inside. After that we test the lid switch, the fill, the drain and the drive. Imbalance with bulky loads is another common call, and we start that with the leveling of the cabinet.
We confirm the exact model and serial from the label before ordering. Our price is quoted in writing first, and our work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What is the WT1201CW?
It is a variant of the same model. Finish can change a part number, so we match the exact number on your label before ordering anything.
The washer overfills or underfills. What do you check?
We check the water level control, the inlet valves and their screens, in that order, and watch what the washer does at each step of the fill.
Does ENERGY STAR qualification change the repair?
The repair is the same, but a proper fill, drain and spin keep the washer working as designed, so we verify those steps at the end of every visit.
