Most common issues on this model
- Steam water inlet and the line feeding it
- Heating element and thermal protection
- Drum support rollers and belt
- Door seal and lint path
The DLEX3070R is an older LG electric dryer with a 7.3 cu. ft. ultra large drum and TrueSteam Technology. It carries SteamFresh and SteamSanitary cycles and is still in many homes, usually in a laundry closet or utility room with a 240-volt outlet and a water connection for steam.
Because this model adds water to the dryer, we check two systems: the heat and tumble every dryer has, and the steam feed. A steam cycle that does nothing points us to the water supply hose, its screen and the inlet valve. A load that stays wet points to the vent and the heating circuit.
Parts for older machines vary, so we read the model and serial from the label before ordering and agree the price in writing before work starts.

Does the DLEX3070R need a water line?
The steam cycles do. Without a connected supply the steam feature has nothing to work with, so we check the hose, the screen at the valve and the valve itself when steam does not appear.
Why are my clothes still damp after a steam cycle?
The steam stage adds moisture, and the machine then has to dry the load. A blocked vent or weak heat leaves clothes wet, so we measure airflow and test the heating circuit.
Is it worth repairing an older DLEX3070R?
Often yes when the drum and cabinet are sound. We give a written price first, and the work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty, so you can compare it with a new dryer.
