DLGX8901B
LG DLGX8901B 9.0 Cu. Ft. FlowSense Gas Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- FlowSense indicators compared with actual vent condition
- Gas igniter and burner
- Steam inlet and fill valve
- Door switch and start response
- Rollers and glides on a large drum
For big loads, the DLGX8901B offers a 9.0 cu. ft. mega capacity drum, TurboSteam and FlowSense indicators in a front load gas dryer. It is built for big loads in a standard laundry space.
FlowSense gives us a head start. If the duct indicator is on, we measure airflow at the outside hood and inspect the transition duct. If airflow is fine and the dryer is still slow, we test the burner path and sensors.
A written price comes before work. We read the model and serial from the label to match parts, and repairs carry a 30-day warranty.

Error codes this model can show
The duct indicator stays on after I cleaned the filter. Why?
The filter is only one part of the path. We check the transition duct, bends and exterior hood, since lint packs there and the indicator reads that restriction.
Can the dryer overheat with a clogged vent?
Yes. Poor airflow raises drum heat and can trip a safety device that cuts the burner. Clearing the vent is part of any no-heat check.
Is this dryer gas or electric?
It is a gas dryer. The DLGX8901B needs a gas supply with a shutoff in addition to an electrical outlet for the controls. We test the ignition path and the vent whenever it stops heating.
