Most common issues on this model
- Lint filter and condenser when drying slows
- Condensate drain pump and path
- Reversible door hinge and latch
- Direct Drive motor and drum support
- Heat pump performance
Designed for top load laundry, the DLHC8402B is an electric ventless heat pump dryer with a reversible door, a direct drive motor with 6Motion and AI dry settings. It has a reversible door, a direct drive motor with 6Motion and AI dry settings.
The reversible door adds a hinge and latch to check if the door will not close or the dryer will not start. Because the dryer is ventless, drying trouble moves our focus to the filter, condenser and drain path before we think about the heat pump.
We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering, state the price in writing first, and warrant the repair for 30 days.

Why does a top load pair need a heat pump dryer like this?
It lets top load owners add a ventless dryer to their laundry. For service, the lint filter, condenser and drain path are the key checks whenever drying slows down or water shows near the unit.
The door will not latch after I swapped its swing. Why?
The reversible door needs its hinge and latch set correctly on the side you chose. We check alignment, the door catch and the switch, since the drum will not run unless the door registers closed.
Does 6Motion affect repairs?
6Motion is a drum movement feature driven by the direct drive motor. Noise or uneven drum motion points us to the motor and the drum support, and we inspect both before quoting.
