FS appears on LG refrigerators with an LED or LCD temperature display. It means the freezer temperature sensor is shorted or disconnected, so the control gets no usable reading from the freezer compartment, and it calls for a professional inspection. The owner sees FS, and the freezer may run too cold, too warm, or cycle oddly because the control cannot judge the real temperature.
