Most common issues on this model
- Steam water line, inlet valve and nozzle when steam cycles do not run
- Vent run and lint screen for long dry times
- Heating element and thermostats
- Moisture sensor bars for loads that end damp
- Belt, rollers, idler wear
With a 7.4 cu. ft. drum, the DLEX3700V is an electric SteamDryer that offers a Wrinkle Care option, and its platform comes in two finishes. As a steam model, it connects to a cold water supply as well as a 240-volt circuit and a vent.
The water connection is what sets it apart for service. If steam cycles do nothing or leave clothes dry, we check the fill hose screen, the inlet valve and the spray path before suspecting the board. Mineral scale in Houston water can block small steam passages, so the screen and nozzle matter.
The dry side follows the usual order: vent, element, thermostats, sensor and drum parts. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, and you see a written price first.

Error codes this model can show
Does a steam dryer need a water connection?
Yes. It draws from a cold water line through a small hose. If the line is kinked, closed or clogged at the screen, steam cycles cannot run, and we check that first.
Can hard water affect the steam feature?
It can leave scale in the valve screen and in the nozzle, which reduces steam flow. We clean or replace those parts and tell you plainly if the supply line needs attention.
Does Wrinkle Care use the steam?
We only know it tumbles a finished load periodically. If you notice odd drum movement after a cycle, we test the motor, belt and rollers.
