DLEX7700KE
LG DLEX7700KE EasyLoad Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- EasyLoad door hinge, latch and seal
- Steam water feed
- Large drum belt and rollers
- Vent airflow for a 9.0 cu. ft. drum
The DLEX7700KE is one of LG’s older electric dryers, with a 9.0 cu. ft. NeveRust stainless steel drum, an EasyLoad Door, TurboSteam Technology and a SteamFresh cycle. It remains in many homes and normally sits at a 240-volt outlet with a vent and a water connection.
The EasyLoad door opens in more than one way, so we check that the hinge, latch and seal still close evenly, because a door that does not catch will keep the dryer from starting. A drum this large is heavy when loaded, which makes the rollers, belt and idler the usual wear points when we hear a thump.
TurboSteam needs a working water feed, so a dry steam cycle sends us to the hose and valve. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, with the price agreed in writing.

Error codes this model can show
My EasyLoad door does not close all the way. What do you check?
We look at the hinge, the latch and the strike, and at the seal for a flattened spot. A door that does not latch prevents the dryer from starting.
Why does my large dryer thump?
A big drum puts more load on the rollers, belt and idler. We spin the drum by hand to find which part is worn and replace it, then run a test load.
Is the 9.0 cu. ft. drum affected by a long vent?
Yes. More air has to leave the machine, so long runs and tight bends cost more. We measure airflow and look at the duct route before blaming the heat parts.
