The DLEX9700P is a current LG SIGNATURE electric dryer with a 9.0 cu. ft. drum, a platinum finish, a flat front and a tempered glass door. Controls combine hybrid input, and it offers TurboSteam, AI Sensor Dry and ThinQ features.
A glass door and flat front place extra demands on installation. We take care with the glass and the door frame, check that the dryer sits level and look at the latch and switch when the door will not hold. The larger drum also needs a clean, short duct to move enough air.

What makes the door stop latching?
Misalignment from an uneven floor, a worn latch or a weak switch. We level the dryer, inspect the latch and strike, and test the switch with a meter before any part is replaced.
Does AI Sensor Dry need the app?
We only know it chooses dry settings automatically. You can still run cycles from the dryer controls, which also lets us test the machine without the network.
