Most common issues on this model
- Touchscreen response and display when it ignores input
- Steam hose, screen and valve
- Vent run and blower for damp loads
- Sensor bars for early cycle ends
- ThinQ link for alerts and remote control
The DLEX9900S is a current LG SIGNATURE electric dryer with a 9.0 cu. ft. mega-capacity drum and a 7-inch LCD touchscreen. The same page covers a DLEX9900B. AI Sensor Dry, TurboSteam and the ThinQ app complete the package.
The touchscreen is the part owners notice first. If it is dark, unresponsive or shows odd output, we separate the supply, the cable and the panel itself with a meter before suggesting a replacement, since a loose connector produces the same signs as a failed screen.
The drying side needs ordinary attention: duct, blower, sensors and heater. Steam cycles need a working cold water line. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, which separates the S and B versions, and we quote the price in writing before starting.

What if the touchscreen ignores my touch?
Try powering the dryer off for a minute. If it still ignores input, we test the supply and display cable before judging the screen itself.
Is the DLEX9900B the same model?
It is the same family in a different finish. The working parts match, but some outer parts differ, so we match every part to the full model and serial printed on the label.
Why would a smart dryer show an alert for airflow?
It senses restricted exhaust. We clean the lint filter, check the duct and measure airflow at the wall cap, which typically clears the alert once the restriction is gone.
