LDF8764ST
LG LDF8764ST Dishwasher Repair Service
Most common issues on this model
- Hidden touch controls that do not register a press
- Cycle that stops partway or never starts
- Door latch and switch
- Drain and filter path when water stays in the tub
The LDF8764ST is a top control LG dishwasher with room for 15 place settings and six wash cycles. It is an older model still found in many kitchens, tucked under the counter next to the sink. The controls are hidden touch pads on the top edge of the door with an LED display.
Because the controls are out of sight, a cycle that will not begin may be a door latch that is not closing fully, or a touch pad that needs a firmer press. We check the latch and switch first, then the control panel and its connection.
With a 15 place setting load, drain performance shows up quickly. A tub that holds water points us to the filter, the drain hose and the pump. We read the model and serial from the label before we order any part.

Why does my dishwasher not start when I press the pad?
The door may not be latching, or the hidden pad may be worn. We test the latch and switch, then the panel, before proposing a repair.
What does a 15 place setting capacity mean for service?
A full load puts more water and food into the filter and drain. Standing water after a cycle sends us to the filter, hose and pump first.
Do you repair an older LDF8764ST?
Yes. We tell you the price in writing first and stand behind the work with a 30-day workmanship warranty. Parts are matched to the model and serial on the door label, so nothing is guessed from the listing.
